MACRON LAW Updating  - French Debt Collection

-

The Macron law adopted on 10 July 2015 has provided  a simplified procedure for debt collection.

This one is not judicial and its objective is to relieve the courts and facilitate the recovery of small claims ( less than 4000 euros, including principal and late payment penalties) with contractual justification.
This provision is specified in Article 1244-4 of the Civil Code and was entered into force on 1 June 2016 following the implementing decree n° 2016-285 of 9 March 2016.
